Power is provided by a fuel-injected 283ci V8, factory rated at 283 horsepower, representing one of the most celebrated engine combinations of the era one horsepower per cubic inch. The engine features the correct EL code stamping (T528EL), identifying it as a solid-lifter, fuel-injected engine paired to a manual transmission, a highly desirable configuration among collectors. Fuel delivery is handled by the iconic Rochester fuel injection system (unit #7014360), paired with a correct Winters intake manifold, while ignition is managed by a Delco Remy distributor, maintaining factory-correct presentation and performance.
Backing the engine is a 62 4 speed manual transmission, providing a true driver-focused experience, and power is sent to the rear through a correct-style rear axle (casting #3789812).
